Sound the Alarm- ARC Event

When you register for this event, there are two steps, the first to register with CTAA, then and ARC link will be sent to you to register with American Red Cross. Please ensure you have completed BOTH steps.

The Red Cross responds to more than 60,000 disasters a year, the majority of which are home fires. Working smoke alarms in a home cut the risk of death by half and having an escape plan further improves the odds of survival. The Red Cross wants to end these tragedies and save lives, and that’s why we launched our Home Fire Campaign in 2014 and began knocking on doors. We call this canvassing effort Sound the Alarm, and we’ve made a tremendous impact, installing millions of alarms nationwide. Since the Home Fire Campaign launched in 2014, we’ve made incredible strides to serve the communities that need us most, saving at least 1,366 lives and making more than 1 million households safer across the country through our Sound the Alarm events. These volunteer events are amped up during April and May and you can help save lives by installing free smoke alarms and providing fire safety education in your community. Training is simple and provided the day of the event.
