Frequently Asked Questions

What is the member dues late fee policy?

The CT Apartment Association membership year runs from July 1 through June 30. Dues are due within thirty days of issuance. Any CTAA dues invoice not paid within sixty (60) days of such billing is subject to a 10% late fee. If dues are not received within 90 days, membership will be canceled. In order for membership to be reinstated after October, dues must be paid in full, for the full year, including the late fee.

What is the NSF / returned check policy?

The CT Apartment Association does accept checks for payments and dues. In the event that any check or other form of payment is returned unpaid for any reason, the CT Apartment Association will give prompt notice of such return to the issuer. The issuer will be informed that they have ten (10) days to make re-payment by other means, including any bank fees incurred by the Connecticut Apartment Association. In addition, the CT Apartment Association will assess a $35 fee on any payment that has been returned in order to cover administrative costs.
